Associate

Prior to law school, Courtney was a public affairs officer in the United States Marine Corps stationed in Okinawa, Japan.

Courtney Caimona grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada before heading off to the George Washington University where she obtained her BC in Criminal Justice, with honor’s on the Dean’s List, in 2012.

During her time in the United States Marine Corps, Courtney traveled to various locations throughout the U.S. and Asia-Pacific regions as a public affairs officer. She communicated the USMC’s narrative to global audiences, ensured a cohesive brand management throughout the ranks, and worked closely with media agencies like The Wall Street Journal. Crisis communications required her to frequently coordinate with the staff judge advocate’s office when considering what information to release, which inspired her to go to law school.

During the summer of 2018, Courtney was a Law Fellow for the U.S. House of Representatives, Office of Earl Blumenauer. She was a law clerk for the Oregon Department of Justice, General Counsel Division during the spring of 2019. Courtney rounded out her experiential learning in the fall of 2019, when she had the opportunity to extern for the Honorable Lynn R. Nakamoto at the Oregon Supreme Court.

In May of 2020, Courtney earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Oregon School of Law. She was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in October, 2020.

Courtney volunteered with the Public Interest Environmental Law Conference each year since 2018, and often volunteered with the Single Marine Program when overseas.

Courtney spends her spare time running, hiking, rock climbing, and doing any other activity that takes her outdoors.
