Our client base extends from single-station licensees to large market group owners, as well as non-commercial and religious broadcasters. The firm served for years as general counsel to the Oregon Association of Broadcasters, including actively representing their interests before the state legislature.

Transactional Work: Contract negotiations, drafting of commercial broadcast transaction documents, rendering opinions in connection with broadcast station sales, various transfers and preparation of FCC assignment applications and financing of broadcast clients.

Intellectual Property: Counseling on copyright, trademark and related intellectual property matters. Our attorneys can advise broadcast clients on the process of clearing rights for use of audio or video productions including whether such use constitutes “fair use” under the United States Copyright Act.
