Karen E. Anderson
Karen is a problem solver who works with her clients to find the best possible outcome for their lives and their families’ lives.
Karen joined Luvaas Cobb as an associate in January, 2017. Her practice focuses on civil litigation and family law. Prior to working at Luvaas Cobb, Karen clerked for the Honorable Curtis Conover of the Lane County Circuit Court.
Originally from Minneapolis, Karen graduated from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and minors in Biochemistry and French in 2008. After college she moved back to the Twin Cities, working first as a research assistant for a genetics laboratory at the University of Minnesota, and then as a lab technician for 3M.
In 2012 Karen moved to Eugene to attend the University of Oregon law school. During law school, Karen was an active member of the law school’s moot court board and a regional competitor in the 2015 National Appellate Advocacy Competition. She also spent a semester working in Legacy Health’s general counsel’s office and a year clerking for a Eugene firm, where she gained additional experiences in health law, business law, personal injury, and litigation. In May, 2015 Karen earned her Juris Doctorate. She was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in May, 2016.
Outside of work Karen and her husband enjoy hiking, camping, biking, and trying their hardest to tire out their dog.
